I think that just now as I look at this piece of your work "Blackwater at Lismore" I just experience the paradigm of realism VS surrealism! First I felt more ”REAL” inside through this work than I would if I had a straight shot of this place” Then I realized that tangible reality like a chair, building, or any physical subject is what we may call real but is only a canvas waiting to be taken and proves by consciousness into some sort of meaning. Your work is exactly that: A generic reality that has been processed into meaning! Thanks for this moment!!!
You're very kind Joe, in taking the time, not only to look but to comment. When I work on my photographs it's always to imbue something of the mood of the place, as I felt it as well as to create an image that pleases me visually. However, I think you just said it way better than me. Hats off to ye, man! Thank you and take care x
If an artist's work is strong enough for me to take the time to visit it and then even ad it to my favorites, then I spiritually owe the creator some sort of validation for his or her efforts. Is my believe that a piece of art is not totally complete until others give it back to you through their eyes. This is why I have fallen in love with DEVIANTART because is one of the least selfish places in the internet where you can enjoy art for the sake of its manifestation, and I can give some of the joy I get back to the creators os such joy and inspiration![link] Thank you for your comments. They inspire me to continue and get even better!
Joe, you say things in big, beautiful ways. I'm Scottish and find that we say things in a myriad of miniature ways. For instance; Deviantart's a great wee find, go on yerself boy and here we go, here we go,here we go, etc. Not sure if you will understand me, Joe but you seem like a really, REALLY decent guy. I am truly glad to have met you. Your joy in art is refreshing and every time I read your comments I'm encouraged to work that wee bit more. Thank you. What have you got planned? New work is the essence of tomorrow xxx
When I look at this image I feel as if time takes the form of an ethereal river flowing across all the moments of this man's life... and in a sense mine too. A sense of longing for all the lived life that makes us what we become... always ourselves... always changing... like the river: still the same river in which our grandparents played when they were kids, and our grandchildren may still do the same one day... yet, every second passing, the river’s water changes with the seasons, the weather, the grounds! This type of work reflects the soul of the maker who brought such insight into form. This is why art is the center core of what makes humanity worthy the hope of an evolutionary chance into the stars! So, thank you for your generous and felt comments on my writing and person. They tell me that you are what you see in me… A real decent person! Smiles from the heart, Joe
I tend to play sailor as much as I can. That means that the direction of the day depends on which direction the winds blow, the current pushes, and the heart desires!
Thanks for this moment!!!
